SUMMARY:DIBC Virtual Event to Discuss Mineral Production Executive Order\, Section 6(g)
DESCRIPTION:In coordination with our government customer\, the Defense Department’s Manufacturing Capability Expansion and Investment Prioritization (MCEIP) office\, DIBC will be hosting a virtual event on April 23\, 2025 from 1:00pm-2:00pm ET to discuss Section 6(g) of the “Immediate Measures to Increase American Mineral Production” Executive Order (EO) issued on March 20\, 2025\, which requires the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy to convene buyers of minerals and work towards a request for bids to supply them. Attendees will hear from the Department on a pathway forward to implementing this section. An excerpt of this section\, along with a link to the full EO is included below. \nAny U.S.-based company that purchases minerals\, mines minerals\, or recycles minerals\, as well as any members of the investment community that invests in the critical minerals space\, is highly encouraged to attend. \nSection 6(g): \n\nWithin 30 days of the date of this order\, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy shall convene buyers of minerals and work towards an announced request for bids to supply the minerals.\n\nIBP and DPA Slides \nAGENDA \nLink to full EO Here \n
